What does it mean to be empty inside? What does that do to a sub? Think about what a sub thrives on, the nurturing, the day to day care. Think about her need to please, and how that drives her.
What does it mean to be empty? Nature does not like a void. The sub, unconsciously will strive to fill that emptiness. There are many ways to do that and some are not positive.
A sub is a strong woman, it takes a strong woman to surrender to a man with absolute trust. She has a driving need, a need to belong, a need to give of herself. Without that she drifts, searching and each step leads her to question herself, to try to understand her purpose.
The road she takes, may be healthy or may be harmful.
She will fill that void. The longer she waits, the longer she is alone, the harder it is to remember what she needs. It is like the man lost at sea... so thirsty he will drink sea water knowing it will hurt him. So is the sub's need to fill the emptiness inside. First she is strong and resolute. Convinced she will wait for the Master she needs. Then her mind wanders as the thirst gets worse, and she thinks maybe she doesn't know what she needs and looks for validation in someone else.
At some point, she is so open to abuse.
What does a sub need to do?
Oh Genny...I know about what void you talk about... I remember this in myself so well. Terribly empty feeling, so keen and profound... But please read post number 10 in my blog - and "never give up hope till your glass still has juice in it..."
